You will make your way through the bustling town of Puerto Plata before starting the ascent, by bus, to the summit of Mount Isabella de Torres.  You will pass through small villages and see some awesome views before arriving at the north coast’s highest point.  You will see the Christ statue – a smaller version of the one located in Brazil, hear the history of the statue’s placement on the mountain and stroll the botanical gardens before making the mountain descent by the Caribbean’s only cable car. At the base of the mountain you will re-board your transport for the drive into the historic center of San Felipe de Puerto Plata. You will make a stop for photos and a lesson in Puerto Plata’s history and pirate past at Fort San Felipe then a brief stop for photos of Neptune’s statue located on a small islet off the north shore.

After a drive along the famous Malecon, you will then make your way to the Victorian district where you will make stops at Pink Street and Umbrella Street before enjoying free-time in Pargue Independencia (Independence Park), before returning to your port.
