Delight in the sights and sounds of Puerto Plata’s Historic, Victorian District and relish the flavors that are uniquely Dominican!

Your host will lead you about the grounds of Fort San Felipe and the area known as Parque Independencia or “Emancipation Square” with stops for information and photos at the Paseo de Dona Blanca known as “The Pink Street”; Umbrella Street and Central Park.

You will then tour the well-appointed Luperon Home and Museum which houses Victorian furnishings and representations of a bygone yet significant era in Dominican history as well as personal mementos and memorabilia of General Gregoria Luperon and his family.

Next you will enjoy a well-presented, Dominican-style lunch overlooking Central Park.

This typical lunch, referred to as ” La Bandera Dominciana” (the Dominican Flag) which includes specially prepared chicken, “moro, Ensalda Verde, tostones and a traditional dessert is served with your choice of bottled water, soda or juice is included, (alcoholic beverages including local beer and local rums are additional).

After lunch, you will have a bit of free-time to step into a shop or enjoy the many photo opportunities in Central Park.
