On this FUN Tour, you will make stops at Ft San Felipe for photos and information regarding Puerto Plata’s pirate past and pre-Colombian history. A drive along Puerto Plata’s famous Malecon leads to a photo opportunity of the iconic statue of Neptune situated on a small island just off the coast. Then your on your way to Parque Independencia (Independence Park) to learn about Puerto Plata’s Victorian architecture and history. 

After a bit of free-time for photos or to visit shops in the main plaza, you will be on to the nicest beach on Puerto Plata’s north coast – about a 10-minute drive away. Once at the Playa Dorada beach resort, your host will serve you our famous rum punch, then you may relax on a complimentary lounger, take a swim in the inviting water or enjoy a stroll along the golden sand.  A traditional, Dominican lunch is included which you may enjoy in the oceanside café or on the beach, served by attentive staff. A wide variety of tempting beverages is also available for purchase at the beach bar or from your beach server.

After ample beach time, you will make the return to your port.
